Engagement photos are such a great time to get to know your photographer and for your photographer to get to know you!  We had a lot of fun with Stephanie, Cody and of course, Oakley!  They wanted us to do their session at the same location he proposed to her . . . super sweet.  So it was a cliff and I pretended I was cool with it.  It worked out and we all lived another day 🙂

Pre-teen Miss Wyoming

Having a glittery princess in the studio isn’t exactly new for us but one with an actual title…well that was just special!  Pre-teen Miss Wyoming, Camlyn,  graced us with her presence last week.  I’ve had plenty of practice with photographing pre-teens who love the camera (namely my daughter).  So it was fun to work with the lovely young lady and hear her ideas and watch her personality unfold as the shoot went on.  She’s an outstanding young lady and I’m proud to sponsor her!

Destination Wedding, Cancun Mexico

Even though this destination wedding took place on Cinco De Agosto I felt like today was the day.   I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo than a blog post about Liz and Spencer’s wedding I shot in Cancun, Mexico.  Margaritas came to mind but that’s another blog post.  South Dakota had a pretty hot summer last year and I feel like that was training for me leading up to this day.  Liz and Spencer’s wedding day was a balmy 120 degrees with 120% humidity.  Those are probably alternative facts but seriously people.  It was hot.  And humid.  And you know what happens to South Dakota girls and gear?  We melt.  My lenses steamed up the whole day but part of that was because of Liz and Spencer’s hotness as you’ll see here. Despite all that, or perhaps because of it, it was a wedding I’ll never forget.  I can’t wait to go back to Cancun.  Happy Cinco De Mayo de amigas!

This little newborn bundle of sweetness graced my studio last week.  She wasn’t really keen on sleeping even in warm room with a fluffy rug but she eventually gave up and closed her eyes!

Doesn’t she looks like she’s in a pile of cotton candy!  Check out all of our newborn information!

Kevin and Kaleigh had a blustery but beautiful spring day for their wedding at Beslers Cadillac Ranch.  I knew when I photographed their engagement session they were going to be great to work with on their wedding day.  Kevin waited to see Kaleigh until she walked down the isle and while he promised ugly crying he only shed a few tears when he saw his bride.  Her brother as the officiant put everyone at ease.  The reception at Cadillac Jacks in Deadwood was the perfect setting for their fun crew.  Congrats on a wonderful day and blessings for a life of love and happiness!

smush hugs are the best.

If this isn’t a “how you doin'” look . . . I don’t know what is.
